3 hours well spent
Bent
Over a table
Learning Calligraphy
In block-out world oblivity
At the Rivergrove Community
 Centre

A wedding planner
A scrap book enthusiast
An administrator
One man
Many women
All agog
To learn
Calligraphy

Finally learning
Fulfilling a yearning
Spanning years
of waiting
to put a thoughtful
birthday day gift
of a calligraphy set
to good use
Before the ink,
Unlike my
Flowing procrastinated passion
For Calligraphy.
Dried up in the cartridges

Three hours
Well spent
In absolute serenity
At the Rivergrove Community
Learning Calligraphy

About the author:
Geeta Molahally
Touchy-feely
Wordy wench
Pens poems
When she feels
The wrench

of
A thought
An emotion
A hug
A scent
A memory
Of a full life
Well spent

Anything
That brings
A smile
A spring in the walk
Heel-clicking in midair happiness
Something to visit
And revisit and enjoy
The  pore-permeating
Goodness of being alive.
